Birthstone

Zodiac and the Treasures of the Earth

"In ancient times it was thought that gems had celestial origins- that is, that they came from the stars. From this idea the superstition was born that certain gems possessed magical virtues and would bring good fortune to persons born under the signs of the zodiac to which the gems belonged. Some people still like to wear their birthstone in a ring or necklace. The diagram above is of the zodiac, with the gems shown for each sign."

(Disney Wonderful World of Knowledge, 1982).

Though today's people who are not at all superstitious still like to wear jewel associated with the month of their birth. Such a jewel is called a birthstone. Here is the list of birthstone for each month of the year (and associated zodiac):

April (Aries) - Diamond. Which is also known as "the invincible one".
May (Taurus) - Emerald. This clear green beryl also related to jewels of
Cleopatra.
June (Gemini) - Pearl. The "feminine side" of the diamond.
July (Cancer) - Ruby. Which is taken from Greek word means "the red
one".
August (Leo) - Peridot.
September (Virgo) - Sapphire
. Which means "the dear one".
October (Libra) - Opal. Which is a description of "pretty".

I write a leave a response when I especially enjoy a article on a blog or if I have something to valuable to contribute to the conversation.
It is caused by the passion displayed in the post I read.
And on this post "Birthstone". I was excited enough to post a
thought ;-) I do have a couple of questions for you if it's okay. Could it be simply me or do a few of the remarks appear like coming from brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are writing on other online sites, I'd like to keep up with you.
Would you make a list all of your community pages like
your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
